The walk to/from and at Lake Nicholls was really awesome! It's amazing to me how much there is in Tasmania, and I have only touched the tip of the iceberg here. There is so much to this state! And it's wonderful that Mt. Field is so close to Zefi here. I took a lot more pictures of the trees that day, but only posted a few. I guess some people think I'm obsessed with trees or something, so I didn't want to go overboard. But they are so amazing to me....so different than trees in the midwest that I'm used to seeing. Especially the closer you look at them here. I absolutely loved the bark patterns and texture of many of the gum trees there. And the overall scenery is incredible too. Really a lovely place in this world here. Sure, it's not *all* that beautiful....there's tiny towns, or settlements almost, that aren't the best kept and so on, as well as plain pasture land and whatnot, but still...there is so much beauty in this region that it's really wonderful to have explored a small part of it! Am glad we've been able to share some of the pictures and experiences with everyone. If we can get them posted later today, we'll have another set of nice pictures from yesterday...we went back to see Russell Falls in the daylight, and then stopped at an animal sanctuary on the way back....which houses numerous native animals, including Tasmanian Devils.

Anyway...glad you're enjoying the pictures.
