Hi... some of you may remember a while ago I asked for anyone who had articles they'd written, or a field of expertise they could share information on, to write to myself or Michael with it so we can include it on the PR site to share with others.

Well that time has come and once again I'm asking, any members who have information, advice, insights, anything they can share that has to do with poodles, please send it and share!

Things that you might send are:

personal stories/experiences that may help others
knowledge gained from years in the breed or dogs in general
grooming tips or methods
raising puppies
breeding
rescue
training

Anything.

Write to us and we'll see about putting on the site to share with the world.

Thanks! Smile

Hello all...............I am sharing part of an email I received yesterday from a buyer of a SP puppy from the  Nov.1 black litter here last year, it is being being shared with the writers/owners full permission in hopes that no one else has to to go through what she and her darling girl did..............

"Hi Mindy,

I am writing with some very sad news.  Last week we were heart broken when we had to euthanize our sweet Lizzie.  It was a very strange and sad series of events that led us to this end.....Lizzie became very ill, vomiting and diarrhea.  We took her to the vet immediately, and started IV fluids to prevent dehydration.  After two days, many tests and Xrays, they decided her intestines did not look right so they took her into surgery.  Upon opening her up, they found she had eaten and entire pair of pantyhose whole, and it had gotten stuck in her lower intestine.  They removed the obstruction and two feet of her bowel that had become necrotic.   Because she was young, strong and healthy they expected a full recovery.  Unfortunately, she continued to refuse food and water.  By the second day after surgery she was running a fever, and they found that the bowel had become infected and was leaking into her stomach cavity.  The prognosis for another surgery was not good, as she was so weak.  So after a week of hoping and praying for her recovery, I had to put my sweet girl to sleep.  It was one of the hardest things I have ever done and we all miss her terribly."

I was so very saddend/upset to read the above, even more so after talking with her today................so any and all you that have or may have SP puppies PLEASE keep a close eye on them, and if any problems arise get them to a Vet quickly as I think time is a factor in cases like this.

Sad this morning,

Mindy

Sure, any worthwhile articles....ideally poodle, but even general dog related stuff, is welcome. We'll find places to put stuff as we go along. I'll be in touch via PM or email Mindy, and we can coordinate getting that posted. Thanks! Any input, or even great link suggestions are welcome, so feel free to post any ideas.
