Hi, Have just managed to log into your site, very interesting to read about our lovely breed here. My name is Molly Windebank, I live in England and serve on the Standard Poodle Club Committee as Welfare Administrator, our club has a website
www.standardpoodleclub.com The club produces two Open Registries, one for standards biopsied for SA, this includes affected and normal results. The other for standards diagnosed with Addison's Disease. The club website has all the usual forums and we also publish, under Welfare, just what is going on in the breed, and the appeals for blood samples or cheek swabs for the research being carried out at the Animal Health Trust to locate the DNA for SA. I also produce information leaflets on Bloat, Addisons and SA also diseases found to have ocurred in the standard poodle.
www.poodlehealthregistry.com publish our registries and I take copies to PCA when I visit. You may be interested to know that this weekend the Standard poodle Club Championship show is being held, we also try and put on a display by a standard, we have had a guide dog, heelwork to music and this year we have Hannah and Milo, Milo is a standard poodle who actually warns Hannah if she is going to have an epileptic fit, they have been featured in the press and on TV, until Milo came along Hannah was trapped at home unable to lead a normal life as her fits were often and of course unpredictable. It has been interesting to visit your site and realise we all have the same happy and sometimes sad times with our dogs.
