Please don't take this the wrong way. Keep in mind that this comes from a 27 year old male that is training a poodle to hunt. My mother told me about fly ball a few years back. I looked at it. I really don't understand it at all. What is the purpose of it. I watched some videos of it and wondered if this is going to be one of the craze things that we are made fun of for next decade. When I first heard about the game I though it was people bouncing a ball off different objects and the dog had to catch a ball going through an obstcale. Now I see its a relay race and it is the most popular event. This has really surprised me.  I can understand the agility. I think it helped one of our dogs that had an injury feel better.

I think that anything we do with our dogs - that they LOVE to do - is just dandy. Smile

I am a 27 year old female in Australia. I have four mini poodles. One of my males is the fastest poodle competing in Flyball Australia. Jackson runs with a team of Border Collies and keeps the jumps down to 7" which really speeds our team up. Jackson is Australia's highest points earning Flyball poodle in any size, pure and cross bred!!! He is a superstar!

And I have some great photos Amanda sent me of her poodle doing flyball. We have it at the club in Hobart that I go to now and then, but I never go to the classes often enough to really get into anything! Its just too far. After a week of driving to the city for work, the last thing I want to do is drive in AGAIN. ugh.
