Well.....great news, everyone! Last year, as we know, Zefi had three paintings accepted into the ASDS and the one poodle painting won "best entry depicting a poodle". And, after we discussed this more a number of weeks back, we ended up getting the entries in for this year's show. I just got the notification today. We put four on the entry again this year, but all were poodles this time, and ALL four were accepted. Woooohooooo! So, now that I have the paintings here, I will be matting and framing them in the next couple of weeks and then sending them onto the show for this year's event. Fingers and paws crossed that Zefi's work does well again. But, really, it isn't just luck we have to wait on....the talent speaks loudly enough on its own, so I'm confident they will do well. Below are small samples of the four paintings entered this year. You can see more of these, and Zefi's other paintings at her new gallery section:

http://gallery.zefiart.com/

The ASDS site is at: http://artshowatthedogshow.com/about_asds.htm

The four paintings....and these samples do not do them justice....they are just gorgeous in person!!!!
The titles are: first row, on the left - "lullaby
First row, on the right - "moments before magic"
Second row, on the left - "recharging"
Second row, on the right - "just the way you are"

Anyway, we'll know around the end of Feb or the beginning of March how the awards go, but all four are required to be on sale at the show too, so hopefully some happy poodle people will be able to take these home this year. All of the poodle paintings sent in last year sold!

Thought everyone would like to know...as it's so exciting knowing Zefi's work is so well appreciated! Mega congrats and hugs and smiles and everything wonderful, Zefi!!!!!!!! The paintings are wonderful, and I'm honoured once again to be able to play my part in helping these get to the show!

Aw shucks!  Big Grin

I was gonna brag myself but after that build-up I have nothing left to say! Smile (totally embarassed...)  Frown

Just thank you to Michael cause I've been wanting to enter that show for years and was only finally able to enter with his help for the first time last year. Having to send in slide entries, then having to have the paintings over there AND framed within a short timeframe of notice of acceptance... I was just never able to get it organised before he offered to help. Michael does all the matting and framing himself which is fantastic. In fact he LEARNED to do it last year for the show entries!  Tongue 2

Fantastic Zefi!  They are all knockouts!  I think my favorite is "just the way you are"... that face is so strong.  So intense.   I can feel the sunlight in her face.   Nobody can paint poodles the way you do!

WOW on all of them and best of luck to you.  We'll look forward to hearing how they do!
