Another New Member from Melbourne

Hi All

I have just joined this group.  I live in a small town called Poowong, about 1 1/2 hours south of Melbourne, Victoria.  I have several different breeds but the main two I am involved in now are the Poodles and Briards.  My other dogs are all getting old and are pretty much retired and lazy. 

I have been showing dogs for nearly 20 years and Poodles for around 10.  My biggest claim to fame in the poodle world was showing a gorgeous girl called Satine (Aust Grand Ch Retsae Come What May), who was a multi best in show winner.  I then got my own boy Karlson (aka Oodle) (Aust Ch Marechal My Main Man) who went on to also be a BIS winner.  From there I have shown other standards and minis for other people to their titles.  My current show dogs are Shaker (Sylvenus Stir Crazy) who is an almost 8 month old white standard and Shimmer (Hillani Shimmerin Dymond), an almost 7 month old mini girl.  I was going to attach photos of Satine, Shaker and Shimmer but I'm not sure how to do it on this forum.  Can somebody tell me please?

I'm enjoying showing my two youngsters and like most people who show I am hoping for big things for them.  I have also over the years competed in obedience and agility and am currently learning herding with my Briards. 

I'm looking forward to discussions on this Forum - I'm sure it'll be as much fun as the Briard Forum I am on!

Hi and welcome Kaasha. Never heard of Poowong. Whats it near?

There's info somewhere on here about how to add photos but I'm not sure where... you basically upload them to somewhere (like your own site) and link to them from there using the button second from the left above the smiley icons in the text box you write in. I'm sure Michael has explained it way better than I have!

Thanks for the welcome.  Kaasha is my kennel name - my name is actually Jeni.    Kaasha is a combination of the first three letters of my maiden name (Kaaks) and the first three letters of my daughter's name (Shannon).

I'm so happy with this little man and very proud of him.  At on 8 months of age he has already had two Best of Breed wins, has had several reserve challenges against older competition and multiple class in group wins.  He has the most beautiful temperament and hopefully a very bright show career ahead of him.  I love him but I'm probably mildly biased!   

Zefi - Poowong is about 1 1/2 hours south of Melbourne in the beautiful hills/dairy country of South Gippsland.
