Adding photos

Hello,
I'm new...I've been reading the help section and can't find my way to adding photos to my signature.  I clicked the photo icon and I get code brackets.  How do I upload the pictures to the public site?

I have done my picture with photobucket but can't figure out how to share it here. HELP

You link it to your message... I dont know how it would work with photobucket, but I upload all my photos to one of my website servers, then write my message and copy and paste in the link to the photo. Above the window where you type in your message are the Subject, box, the Message icon, the type style icons, then another line of icons, last the line of emoticons. In that second line of icons, the first one is the 'insert image' link. If you highlight your pasted url for the photo and hit that icon, it will automatically place a link there to the photo and the photo will appear in your preview.

Hopefully Michael or EskieMa can explain it better! LOL
