There have been many things happening around here lately... but one thing which has happened is fantastic. You may remember that Carlene and Louise visited from Newcastle recently, well there was a reason for their trip. Pagan has gone to live with Louise in Newcastle!

Up there Pagan will be the only dog, not having to share Louise's attention with anyone, in fact, she will be going to work with her new mom every day and be spoiled and adored by the people Louise works with, her mother and her friends. They live close to the beach and Pagan is already enjoying runs on the sand, going out for coffee and generally being the centre of attention.

Though it was a very hard decision for me to make, I know Pagan will be much happier there. Louise is a lovely person and I feel that it was fate that made me talk to Carlene who found Louise for Pagan.

It makes life easier here too as, although things were fine almost all the time, recently there have been some grumblings between the girls as Pagan is now spayed and Montana is moving up into top position. Its not something I want to deal with. I just want everyone to be happy and want the best for all my dogs. Sometimes we arent the best home and we have to face the fact that someone else may be able to give them a happier home.

Rehoming one you've kept and shown and loved for years is a tough call, defnitely. But no one knows Pagan better than you, and only you can make the best choice for her. I know it was a long, hard thought out decision, but also know you're hoping for the best for her and Louise, and we all do, really. So, even though it's a bittersweet experience for both of you, we do understand and also hope the best for everyone. Hopefully we'll get to hear about some of Pagan's new adventures as she settles in and gets used to her new surroundings and people.

Thanks guys. I am hoping she and Louise have many happy years together.

And no new photos of the boy... I cut his hair off. There's been a lot happening in my life and I'm not sure I will show him. We shall see. Smile For now he and Montana are just being brats and enjoying life.

hello everyone...

i would like everyone to know that pagan is just delightful..
zefi you truly have breed and bought-up a fabulous girl.. she has taken up residence in her new home and office...

her new home is directly across the road from the beach. louise takes her for a morning walk every morning before a little breakie and heading to the office. (louise is a solicitor here in newcastle). once at the office pagan takes up her position, settling into a white leather "barcelona" chair, surrounded by black and gold signature versace key rugs. from here she is able to observe the arrival of clients and all the passers by who are now waving to her through the window.. she is quickly becoming an identity here in her own right..

several people have been coming to me asking me "who is the new white standard in town"

she came in for a bath and a face and feet tidy up before heading to sydney for her first big trip since her arrival..

louise and her are just another 2 girls on the loose in the big city..

personally, i would like to thank zefi for her faith in coming to me to find a perfect home for pagan...

i know it sounds like a cliche', but these girls were just meant for one another...

it truly is amazing to see them together..

Truthfully, its I who owe YOU Carlene. I emailed Carlene in desperation one day. Things in my life were just getting too much for me. Things with Greg were going down the gurgler, problems with his dog were escalating, Bonnard was back due to personal problems of the friend meant to show him making me responsible for 4 of my own dogs plus one not mine, I wasnt working and I was stressed to the max. Carlene stepped up and said she had the perfect home for Pagan, a match made in heaven, and she and Louise flew down to meet me and Pagan. I will never be able to thank Carlene enough for helping me find Pagan a much better home than the one I provided.

the pleasure was totally mine, it has all worked out so well that i am considering the same for my girl..

pearl needs to be an only child, we cope really well with her giving her lots on one on one as we live in two houses so we are lucky that either of us take her for 3 or 4 days at a time.. she loves the beach and swims amazingly retrieving her squeekie toy from out behind the breakers. she just loves swimming with us, loves the car.. our only drama with her is that she has no patience what so ever for other dogs that come anywhere near us so we need to be "on guard" whenever we are out.. even at the cafe's she will start to grumble if there is a dog on the other side of the road.. I have always put this down to her being rehomed and she as yet hasnt felt totally secure with us.. its been two years this month...

as i type this she is lying next to me on the bed being the angel she is 95% of the time..

give bonnard hugs and licks from my kids

Some dogs just dont like other dogs. Its just like people. Some get along with everyone. Others are more picky with who they hang out with. Others are loners. You cant change who she is, just work around it. I know how hard it is to try to make everyone happy!

How old is Pagan now Zefi?  I agree they are better off this way, its hard letting them go but I believe the one on one they are given is much better than we can give them.  Although, I know my dogs are always happy here, I still think they deserve more.

Pagan is now seven. I really wish I'd been brave enough to find her her own home when she was five or something, but I just couldnt see myself giving her up.
