ugh, the labbydoodle question is an insult for sure. Worse than if people ask if my eskie is a samoyed! But it serves a good time to "educate" them on the breed and the doodle problems, etc.
As for the "just for fun" comment...I would bet that's more along the lines of people not wanting to admit they have a "purebred" poodle. Being that probably seems more high falutin' than if it's "just for fun". Would be better if they said "not a show dog, just a pet, but they're still great!". But at least they've got poodles and hopefully that opens the door to them talking to more people and more and more learning about the wonders of the breed.
