Great photos! Love that suit! Doesnt Ruby look gorgeous in it! Does it help keep the coat clean without matting it?

I thought it would cause matts... I know that any jumpers on pets causes matts so I worried about putting anything in a show coat. He does look cute in it though! I bought a backpack for Montana to take her walking but it turned out to be too big for her. I'm thinking I'll use it on Bonnard but I dont know about his coat once it gets longer...

Lovely dogs Neo, looks like they lead a really active life over there, and they are loving it!
The jacket is very cute, but yes, I guess it would make the coat mat.

I think I have got a pretty laid back relationship about shows, my Ruby has got such great coat, that he does look good anyways my poodles are first of all DOGS! and yeah, energybombs they are! but if I had one with bad coat, i probably would think twise before taking him to the woods The backpac is on the shelf untill he finish showing

The last pic definitely has some attitude in it....which is what they need in the ring! Definitely a big contrast of before/after. The suit above is fascinating, but I had the same concerns Zefi mentioned about matting, etc. I do make booties for my girls and use them when it's really cold out. Snow isn't so bad as the cold, but we get both, so I have them ready in the winter. But they are just like shoes...only come up so far. So they don't really worsen any matting issues, but a larger setup would raise issues I'd think. But not bringing home the whole forest is a good point. I recall when we were grooming a collie some years ago....and the things we brushed out of that coat made for quite the conversations that day. I remember telling Anne that about the only thing we didn't get to yet were kitchen appliances......and fortunately we never did get anything that big out of the coat, but man it was a jungle! So if it helps on that angle, that's good. I bought a backpack for Shelby some years ago, tried it out on her in the house....she took off like a bolt of lightning and it didn't stay put long....had worked its way upside down in no time. She hated it....just like she hates hats, so I never really pushed her much on it. Guess I just have to haul an extra pack myself if we go for long walks.....

He definetly has got the attitude, on a good day in the ring Ruby has always thougt that everything i put on him, has been there for ages ? so he doesnt care, but Neo, oh lord, put something on him, and he'll lay flat down, and wont move untill we take it off!

Too funny....I have seen both kinds too. I especially bet that Ruby thinks the halo he has has always been there, eh! And Neo.....can't blame him...some just act like they've been frozen dead when you try things on them. You definitely have night and day aspects there, but Ruby is the kind that little kids would love to dress up and do all kinds of silly things with! How is he with kids, btw?

he's kinda strange with kids actually, I'm not quite shure how he got that way, since he has grown up with Neo who loves kids... He let them pet him, and he can stand around with them, but he doesnt stay, he just wants to walk away after a while, maybe he finds them boring and when they act strange as in running towards us etc, when he hasnt sayd hello first, he can jump and hide behind me, or try to protect me, in the way that he barks a bit. But he has never showed theeth or anything... but Neo, oh they can do everything with him! he just runs against them, loves playing with them!

I tend to believe that kids and poodles *generally* are a very good combination. They both love playing and being together. Poodles can be so patient with kids and enjoy doing anything and everything with them, that it's often a perfect match. But there are exceptions and every one has their own personality, so maybe he just picked up different things and figured that's Neo's ball of wax and I'll prefer other things. Who knows, but at least he's not aggressive or anything.
