Our Baby Taffy

We got Taffy a couple of months ago from a very reputable breeder.  The gentleman is 85 now and started showing his dogs in 1929!!!  We could hardly believe that he and his wife are still running their kennel and that they are very well managed.  Taffy came to us as a light apricot but the breeders told us that there was a chance that she could got red as it has happened with their other puppies.  Sure enough.  A couple of weeks ago I thought Taffy's coat looked funky but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.  Then, after another bath and blow dry, I finally realized that the base of the hair was very dark.  She is apparently going to be a very dark apricot.  Her new color is very pretty.

Wow. I never heard a dog as light as her going red, but I do know that reds get darker as they get older. Strange huh? She is beautiful though! I just want to hold her and kiss her!!
