Here are a couple of pics of Bonnard taken on Saturday at home after the show. He went really well, people were stunned to hear of his so recent accident, he shows no signs whatsoever of having cut his leg right down to the bone. Despite going really well, he only got Reserve Challenge, but I was proud of him anyway. He did good!

In this first pic, you can see the swelling on his front leg where the injury was.

His coat is almost there now. Almost a totally full mane. That boy grows coat at an amazing rate!   Smile After his shoulder injury I thought he'd only be fit to start showing about now, but he had enough coat to show in January and now he's almost in full coat.

Yes he has neck! and a lovely short back and wonderful strong muscley thighs. He's a very masculine dog, all boy. Now... if only he had a brain! LOL

(ok ok. To be fair... he has a brain... I just wish he'd use it for good instead of evil! LOL)

OH, Zefi, he's stunning!  It's amazing how he could be so badly injured and now look as if nothing had ever happened to him.  I'm so happy for both of you!   Happy

He certainly has made an incredible recovery.  Isn't it amazing how they nearly always manage to do things like that on the "show side"? Big Grin

For sure. Its like they want to stop showing. I'll let him stop showing as soon as he titles, but I think he has so much more potential, once he fully matures... And he does really enjoy the shows.

thinking about the "show-side" I CANT STAND how they manage to tear of almost the whole topknot, ON the left!!!! seriously, I would prefer it to be on the right Big Grin Big Grin

I had planned to get a short video of Bonnard on the move to put on YouTube but I forgot. Too late now for this week, but next weekend, after I wash him, I'll brush him out, no spray, but no bands either, and see if I can get someone to film him going around the front yard (and hope they manage to crop me out as much as possible!). He is moving really well.

I've always tended to go on whether or not the dog enjoys showing as to whether or not to keep on with it. A prime example was my original Saluki dog Mish. He wouldn't have a bar of showing as a youngster but for some reason I entered him in a big show under an International breed specialist at the age of 8. He entered the ring as though he owned it & showed like a dream then went BOB & was considered for Group.. seems he had to make up his own mind as to when the time was right Big Grin.

They're not brushed out at all in the photo, just dried with a hose dryer. Should they be taller do you think?
