Hello there...been away for a while.  Billy and Taffy have grown a lot and are a pure joy.  I expect Billy will be showing in February for experience for both him and me.  Taffy is not ready yet but is looking lovely.

Taffy....

You are indeed right they are looking good. It is lovely to see them doing hospital visiting. I am hoping that Tia can qualify as a PET dog this year as it is so rewarding to see people react to having dogs visit them - especially when they are dog people who are missing their own dogs.

We only go to the nursing home that my mother was in right now.  We need to get CGC's on the spoos before we can take them into other facilities.  I am hoping to get Billy's at the show in February.  There isn't anything quite as rewarding as bringing dogs in to visit with the elderly and the sick.  So many of them were former dog owners and just gush over having the opportunity to hold a dog and cuddle again.

I hope that Tia gets qualified so that you both can enjoy the rewards of going to visit too.

I am looking forward to it as well. We have already been invited to visit the place where friends of mine work. Tia has already reached the levels necessary with regard to passing the tests involving wheelchairs etc & since a very dear friend of mine who we visit regularly has MS & is in one now. He has even taught Tia to go for walks with him in his electric wheelchair. She also has her CCD & the first two  passes for her CD. We meet a lot of people from the local retirement village in the street when we go out shopping & Tia is regularly greeted by her friends. It is quite amazing the number of people who comment that they have either had a poodle or known poodles in their earlier years & just love to meet her & make a fuss of her. Naturally Tia takes that as part of just being a poodle Big Grin It is very rewarding isn't it to see the way people's faces light up when they get a chance to spend some time with a dog in hospital/nursing home type setting.
