In order to post pictures on this board, you need to have an account with a company that keeps pictures (image hoster) on their servers such as www.photobucket.com and then link them here.

Posting a signature picture or a post picture is the same procedure. Note that your signature size should be smaller in order to respect and not slow-down those with lower internet connection since they are repetitive.

Size limitation for pictures:
Signature Signatures may contain text and images, separately. Images must be limited to a maximum height of 150 pixels, and a maximum combined width of 600 pixels. Images must contain your dog(s) in them. Images must be static, and not animated (moving) images. Images may not contain words "on" the image, with the exception of a time/date stamp (though those stamps are not recommended). Descriptions of the image may be above, below, or beside the image. A total of 5 lines of text plus the image height may be used in signatures. Text may include links to your site, or pages, or other online resource, as well as email link to yourself. Dog names, titles, etc. are welcome in signatures, but bear in mind that there is a 400 character limit (which includes all text and BBCode used) on all signatures as well.

Images in Threads Pictures in threads are limited to a maximum of 600 pixels wide by 800 pixels high.

There are others internet image hosters as well. You can do a search on the internet and find quite a few.

For this example, we will be working with photobucket. Procedures are very similar for most of them.

1)If you have none, open an account with the image hoster. It’s fast, free and easy.

2)Once that account has been created you can start adding pictures to it.

3)Log into your image hoster account, go to the page below and click on the browse button (see red arrow below ).

This action will direct you to a folder on your own computer.

You should then select the picture you want and press “open” in your picture page. The link of your image should be pasted in there automatically (see red arrow below ).

You can select one or as many pictures as you need. Beware at it may take a long time for pictures to be transferred from your computer to the image hoster server if image size is large or there are many pictures to download in one request. Speed internet is also a factor to take into consideration for this activity.

Once your picture or group of pictures has been selected, click on the submit button (blue arrow above ).

The picture is going to appear in here (see red arrow below ).

If you want to see the actual size of the picture, click on the actual picture. If you like it, just go back, using the back page cursor.

If your picture is too big, it needs to be reduced.  You need to edit the picture by clicking on the Edit button. When you get to the edit frame, you can either edit, resize or rotate the picture (see red arrow below ).

You are now ready to post your picture on the board.

Click once on the the last line where you see Img. (see image above with blue arrow )

Paste this link into your thread.

Voilà! Your picture should be there.

It may seems complicated at first glance, but once you have done it a couple of times, you can do it within a minute or so.

Have fun!
