if anyone is interested in natural remedies, i am only too happy to help out if i can.

I have been treating my babies (poodles) holistically for 5 years or more now..... (in conjunction and co-operation with my vet)....

Thanks Carlene!  This will be great!  We just switched vets because our old one was completely opposed to any natural methods.  My hubby's therapy practice is entirely alternative medicine based, and so we are true believers in it.  Smile

I am currently researching with 4 others in opening an alternative place for dogs....

I opened a grooming place 8 years ago, we aimed our attention on what a grooming experience was from the dogs point of view... needless to say I closed my books within 8 months of opening.  So now we have been kicking around the idea of adding other services on the days when I am not there... So far we are aiming for Bowen therapy, Acupressure, Remedial Massage. I have asked qualified people in their respective fields and all are very interested and keen. So at the moment I am searching for the right premises. I feel this will make all the difference. My current shop has a full shop front window, so everyone can see in. No hidden areas at all. All our equipment is non commercial, all the dogs are bathed by hand, dried by hand, etc etc etc.  So all I really need to do is change the way in which we do things to enhance the feel of a new shop, so as to compliment the other services we want to add..

I think we are lucky here, we have quite a few of the vets that are atleast open and receptive to alternative remedies..... lets just hope we can all work together!

Carlene,

Good luck with your venture. If you were in Perth I would be one of your customers:)

I am lucky to have found a natropathic vet (argh no spell check here so excuse me) and my regular one doesn't have a problem with it, like an added service he can't provide and is always interested in the results.

The acupuncture for Symi and his back problems has had a great result, he's 11 going on 2 years old again:)

When Jaimee had ITP I used conventional care (prednisone) along with a vet who administered Chinese herbs.  I started using an alternative vet first for my Sailor boy (PWD) when he got staph infections.
