OK...after some issues getting some programs to work here, we've got some of the kinks worked out and can both work on the pages and stuff. We've got the first two days of bits to share....bookmark the front index page and we'll add to it, with the individual pages off that. Enjoy:

Being in a rural farming area I really love/appreciate them all,not familar with the shaggy cattle though.........we had black Angus when we farmed.

Now Micheal what exactly is in Vegemite??

Yep we need to see some pics of Zefi and more of the Poodles, never can have too many Poodle pictures!

Looking forward to the next pictures...........have fun you two Smile

Thanks Mindy. I'll do what I can for pics of Zefi....but if I get any, they might have a scouring facial expression on them. Though she's really quite nice, so hopefully we'll get some soon! Smile

As for Vegemite...well, it's hard to describe....here's a link to it if you want to read more on it...you can also search for info online....

http://www.vegemite.com.au/

But, basically, it's this weird spread type thing. Think peanut butter, but also do NOT think peanut butter! It's a pasty yeast/malt extract type thing....VERY salty, so you have to spread it quite thin (thus, not like peanut butter). Really hard to describe.....but interesting. I have to work up to sandwiches with it now, I guess....have only had it with crackers thus far. Smile I'm taking it nice and easy, eh!

I've told Zefi that if she ever comes to America, I have to get her to try Cheese Curds. Mmmmmmm...... I already mailed her a Cow Pie, and she loved that! Smile

Yep, I'm from a rural area too, and Zefi gave me flack over wanting to see the trees better. Since I cut wood for heat anyway, and have always been around trees and wood, I am just fascinated by the different tree types here so far. Anyway...more pics and stuff when we add them....

The pictures are so cool!  I love how you guys are both talking.  Feels like we're right there in the room with you two.

The shaggy cattle are adorable, and yes they look like pups in need of a grooming!  The little pony is so cute!

Great landscape shots!  I love the panaoramic view!

Yesterday the weather was a bit wild and woolly and we decided a walk in the national park was a bit risky, so we hung around here. I had to get Tana ready for the show anyway, and Michael has taken some photos. Today we have the show of course so there'll be more photos. Some of them even have me in them!

Last night we went down the road to some friends of mine, Jeanie and Neville, for a games night. We had a great time but it was a late night! Didnt get back till 2.30am. Lucky Group 7 isnt on till after lunch! sheesh.

This is so much fun!  Loved all the pictures of Zefi working hard on Tana ... we love to watch you work, lol.  Tana being so gorgeous at the show.  The neat pictures of "behind the scenes" at the show.  And more gorgeous scenery!  Neat neat neat.

Is a wallabee like little kangaroo?  Are they related?  And the wombat.. what an unusual animal!  It looks so peaceful, but those claws!  Yipes.

Wallabies are small kangaroos, yes. They are slightly different in build, they have different shaped heads, but they move the same with large back legs that hop rather than 'walk'. Around here we have two types, a Bennets wallaby which is about the size of a small dog, say a mini. And the paddymelons which are about the size of a toy poodle ( Big Grin) They are so cute! I love them.

Wombats are like small bears really. They burrow and they move slowly. The claws are for digging, not attacking! LOL Not that I'd want to mess with a fully grown one!

If I didnt have the dogs I'd definitely be volunteering as a wildlife carer - taking in injured or orphaned natives to raise and rehabilitate. As it is I cant. Not with Pagan the great hunter living here! Wouldnt be fair to the babies to have then terrified of a big dog. Not to mention it probably wouldnt be wise to socialize natives to trust dogs - they should run from them, not run to them!

Yeh, I was thinking how nice a dremel would be when I was looking at those nails! Tongue The wombat is really sweet, but this was a young one too. It's fascinating to see native animals here.....our deer and bears and squirrels in Wisconsin get a little boring sometimes. Plus, it's always nice to learn and experience new things. Smile

Hello,

Wonderful pictures and comments................you two made my day  Smile
Quick question...........why the muzzles on the girls when out in public, a law/rule or something there Zefi? Just curious here.

Looks like won't be long now before new puppies arrive, hope to have new brown SP puppies here in about 9 weeks or so, will be looking forward to reading about Pagan's  new litter Zefi.

Thanks again for the great pictures Micheal, the miniature horse foal was so cute Smile also the Spitz, we have groomed several Eskie's over the years, afterwards the shop would be covered in white hair  Big Grin

Looking forward to more pictures of the adventure in Oz, looks like you are both having a great time.....................enjoy!

Thanks again for sharing,

Mindy

Mindy, those aren't muzzles.  They are Halti's or Gentle Leaders.  They give you a great deal of control over your dog, very gently.  Nice to see them in action, Zefi!

I'm still looking.. love the statues of the penguins (?) and the walruses on the rocks.  I was looking closely at the walruses... that must have taken some real skill to create those sculptures to drape so perfectly and naturally over the rocks.  I'd love to know the story of making those.  Way cool.

heading back to look at more...... Smile

BACK!    Oh gosh.. those Spitz pups are SO CUTE!!!!   I can't see how anyone could resist them!  Michael, are your Eskies about the same size as the Spitz?

What fun you guys are having!  Now all we need are puppies!
